Hello everyone! The time has come to put this blog to bed. It has served it's purposed, but I have moved on to bigger and better things! I've had an idea brewing in the back of my mind for awhile now, and I'm finally making it a reality.
(Drumroll please!)
I am now the Founder/President of The Dandelion!
"The Dandelion is a social network
created especially for survivors of abuse with a focus on well-being and
support. We believe that although we can’t change the past, we can
acknowledge the role it has played in our lives and use this knowledge
to heal and thrive.
Members of The Dandelion can
create personal profile pages, participate in forums and share blog
posts. Additional content is also be posted by members of The Dandelion team.
Individuals at every stage of the therapeutic process are encouraged to
join. We all have something to contribute and share. *Please note that some information here can be emotionally triggering.*
Together, we can create a beautiful and respectful environment in which we can all grow and thrive!"
The site goes live in December 1st, so mark your calendars! Individuals can sign-up before then, however will not be approved until the big day.
One of the things that makes the site amazing is The Dandelion Team. I have gathered together a group of qualified individuals to contribute on a regular basis. They will also be participating in the groups and forums as well as moderating the site overall. I've already had a sneak peek at some of their work, and it is fantastic.
I haven't been this excited about something since I gave my speech back in spring. Wish me luck!
I'll see you at The Dandelion on December 1st!
